Over the last four years of Brand Assembly has expanded and grown in ways we never expected. Our original LA tradeshow grew from three brands to eight brands to one hundred and fifty carefully curated collections. We've opened co-working spaces in New York and, most recently, Los Angeles and launched a talk series in each of these locations. Our newest adventure takes us south to Dallas, TX where we'll be hosting our first ever tradeshow there this June! We're so thrilled to expand into this exciting market and showcase our inaugural class of brands to the many influential buyers in the area.

In celebration of our first Dallas market, we've put together BA's Guide to 24 hours in Dallas. This guide has everything we love about Dallas - good food, good music and, of course, good clothes.

IN THE MORNING...

you'll want to head directly to Yolk for a decadent, delicious breakfast in a cheerful, open setting. Yolk's first location popped up in Chicago before owner Taki Kastanis brought his sunny service to One Arts Plaza. Literally everything on the menu is tasty so make room for our favorite Dallas breakfast.

From your amazing (and probably gigantic) breakfast at Yolk, it's a short walk to the Nasher Sculpture Center. The Nasher is not only the location of our Resort market from June 14th-15th, it was one of the key buildings behind the redesign of the Dallas Arts District that began over 40 years ago! This beautiful structure, finished in 2003, houses an amazing collection with some of the world's foremost sculptors under one roof. Take the rest of the morning to explore the unique beauty of the Nasher Sculpture Center.

IN THE AFTERNOON...

head to Stephen Pyles Flora Street Cafe. Stephen Pyles has remained one of Dallas' premiere chefs for decades and doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon. After closing his namesake restaurant in 2015 (known for Pyles' rendition of a Caesar salad that features jalapeno polenta croutons) the chef opened his newest venture this past year. Stephen Pyles Flora Street Cafe is upscale, but the prices won't scare away anyone who's paid for a boozy brunch. Enjoy a quinoa-wheatberry salad and a glass of rose and live your best life.

After your five star lunch, head to Klyde Warren Park, another highlight of the Dallas Arts District. Built over the recessed Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Klyde Warren Park has free daily programming, plenty of space to take an outdoor, afternoon snooze and great walking trails. It's our pick for a wind down before starting your Dallas night out.

Before your big night on the town you need some supplies. First, head to Wild Bill's Western Store on North Market Street for all of your cowboy-chic essentials. This Dallas staple is family-owned (by an actual guy named Wild Bill) and has one mission: to preserve western fashion and traditions. Picture this: you can sit in a Texas longhorn chair while trying on cowboy boots that are made using techniques perfected by Wild Bill's family in the 1940s. It doesn't get more Dallas than that, right?

The famous Fluellen Cupcakes is just a hop, skip and jump away from Wild Bill's on Elm Street. This sweets shop carries your normal cupcake fare with some surprises thrown in (We love the Banana Pudding and Wedding Cake!). Once your blood sugar has sufficiently spiked, get in your car and head to Deep Ellum for our favorite late night Dallas haunts.

IN THE EVENING...

get ready to choose your own adventure. We love so many places in the Deep Ellum neighborhood we can't decide which are our faves! For dinner you need to hit up STIRR, LOCAL or Pecan Lodge. Each restaurant offers a unique dining experience you can't get anywhere else. Named one of the top four barbecue joints in the world by Texas Monthly, Pecan Lodge is the obvious choice for any BBQ lover. The secret is that there is no secret. The recipes used today have been passed down through family lines and nearly everything from the mac and cheese to their banana pudding is made in house.

If you're looking for something a bit more modern, STIRR is the place to be. Opened last year, STIRR has a menu full of modern American dishes like Citrus Thyme Crusted Salmon and the Cow and Pig Burger. This unique burger is a haunting and inviting combination of two patties - one dry aged Kobe and one ground Durock boar. It also doesn't hurt that you can enjoy your Cow and Pig Burger on a sleek roof deck with incredible views of Downtown.

Just blocks away is another modern American neighborhood favorite: LOCAL. While the menu is pretty standard as far as new American fare goes, what makes LOCAL a standout is the execution. Scalloped potatoes and sauteed asparagus aren't just side dishes, they're carefully prepared and perfectly finished moments to savor. Plus, their cocktail menu is extensive, inventive and well worth the money!

As far as drinks and entertainment go, Deep Ellum is still our favorite place to be on any given night in Dallas. We recommend starting out at Armoury D.E., a rustic destination on Elm Street. Armoury D. E.'s signature menu favors gin, but is sure to satisfy anyone who loves a so-bad-it's-good cocktail name. Bonnie & Clyde, Vulgar Display of Sour and Stagger Lee are just some of the offerings. Between the menu and ambiance it's the perfect place to kick off the night.

Later, head down the block to Trees to see a show at one of Dallas' most beloved live venues. Trees has been around for 27 years and hosts a wide variety of acts in their two-level space. From Juelz Santana to Zepparella (an all girl Zeppelin cover band) you never know who will be playing the iconic Deep Ellum establishment.

Once you've gotten your fill of whichever act you happened upon at Trees, it's time for a stop by Adair's Saloon for a night cap. As the name suggests, Adair's is the place to be for live country music (with no cover charge) and reasonable drink prices. Any day of the week you'll see the crowd two-steppin' with whiskey in hand - the perfect scene to end your day in Dallas on.

IN CASE YOU HAVE EXTRA TIME...

be sure to head north for some of the best shopping destinations in the country. Highland Park and the famous Lovers Lane areas of Dallas have become shopping hubs with the likes of TTH Forty Five Ten, Cabana, Canary and Elements all calling these neighborhoods home. Be sure to stop in and see some of your favorite Brand Assembly designers showcased in these carefully curated Dallas staples and do some shopping!
