Dabney Lee founded her eponymous, preppy and playful lifestyle brand in 2004, and has since opened two retail shops. The first is her seasonal store on Shelter Island, where her family spends their summers, and the second doubles as a design studio and shop in Rye, NY. The Rye shop is brand new - she signed the lease a matter of weeks before the country went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In spite of the lockdown (or maybe because of the extra time it gave her), Dabney was able to get the shop up and running faster than expected, and she’s looking forward to when it can be the retail destination she imagined. She’s planning to expand the store’s offerings and host after-hours events like gift-wrapping classes.
