Sheena Sood of Abacaxi

Ever wonder what it would be like to go inside the mind of someone who plays with colors every day? For most, it’s hard to get that “color” wheel spinning, but Sheena Sood, founder and designer of Abacaxi, has done just that.

Sheena’s passion for bright, colorful textiles with intricate detailing has come from years of travel around the globe — from family trips to India in her childhood, to recent research trips for her work to countries such as Peru, Indonesia, and Senegal. Sheena’s designs capture the beauty of nature across the world. Even the name Abacaxi — Portuguese for “pineapple” — was born out of her experiences while wandering the beaches in Brazil. We love the saturated tie-dye fabrics, unique silhouettes, and natural details that hint back to the places she’s been.

CONSENSUS: Inside Sheena’s mind is pure magic; take us there anytime.
