Angela O’Brien of Cleobella
Splitting time between California and Bali with her family, working with local artisans to produce gorgeous handmade clothing and leather goods — from where we stand, it looks like Angela O’Brien is living out the bohemian dream.
Angela and her husband Jim founded Cleobella after a life-altering trip to Bali; they fell in love with the culture and creative traditions and knew immediately that they wanted to make Bali a permanent part of their lives. Familiar with the fashion industry from having worked as a model, Angela worked to create a brand that would honor the Balinese creative culture that had so inspired her and provide a new platform for the artisans she’d met while travelling. Baked into Cleobella’s identity is a dedication to helping make the world a better place, in big and small ways — they focus on producing small batch collections to limit waste, and they donate 1% of profits to global organizations that empower women artisans.
