Mallory started at ABLE as a product design intern, and she’s all about taking progressive steps towards a more ethical lifestyle. That’s why she’s spent her career so far with the brand that makes making the right choice easy for consumers. ABLE focuses on transparency in its practices. The team knows that it’s hard for consumers to make good choices if they don’t have all the information, so the company has published its lowest wages since 2018, and for broader use, they developed ACCOUNTABLE, a tool for other brands to transparently calculate their social impact. And the best part? The quality leather bags and timeless clothes are so cute, you’d want them even without the noble mission!

NAME ONE THING THAT EVERYONE GETS WRONG ABOUT BEING IN ETHICAL FASHION: So many times when I start something new, I throw out everything that doesn't fit the characteristics of the new thing. I think this is the misconception in being a part of ethical fashion. We don't allow ourselves to start small and then grow, so we don't take part at all. There is no shaming if you wear a fast fashion tee with an ethical fashion blazer!! It takes daily growth towards ethical, sustainable fashion—not overnight closet cleaning!
NAME ONE EASY THING SOMEONE CAN CHANGE IN THEIR BEHAVIOR WHEN SHOPPING TO SUPPORT ETHICAL PRACTICES: Do your research. :) Read about ethical brands you're buying from. If they are making vague, overarching statements I would dig deeper to verify you can trust what you're wearing is actually ethical. Also, make a friend pack to buy one ethical thing per month (or even year!). A community always makes things more fun.
